Following the success of Murlong x Mina, Scandinavian slow fashion brand Murlong Cres released a winter capsule of high-quality, made-to-last pieces. This time, the theme was timeless Scandinavian, and each piece had a decidedly Nordic namesake.

After receiving product specs, seeing the pieces, and receiving the beautiful photos shot in the Latvian National Theatre, it was time to write the collection’s story.

This release drew inspiration from Scandinavian culture and history, and a key component of the collection was the choice of materials: pure OEKO-certified silk, alpaca wool, and 100% cotton. High quality, pure wool and silk make up many base layers and undergarments during the cold winters, and their naturally breathable, antibacterial properties make them suitable for warmer weather as well. These designs, fabrics, and detailed construction made each piece an intentional, long-lasting addition to a closet, resisting the wasteful nature of fast fashion.
